Workamper's Guide

What Makes Us Special

Stone Mountain Park is not your ordinary park. In addition to 3,200 acres of natural beauty, we also have attractions and special events for the whole family to enjoy. There are multiple food service venues and gift shops to visit. Since we are located in the metro Atlanta area, there are many surrounding attractions for you to visit as well. Also, our servant leadership culture is based on the Golden Rule - we treat our guests and each other the way we would want to be treated. Workampers are paid for every hour worked, they enjoy free Wi-Fi service, free use of our laundry facilities, and enjoy fellowship with other Workampers.

Our Campground

You won't find a more beautiful campground in the entire State of Georgia! We have over 400 sites, a general store, a large recreation area including volleyball courts, a swimming pool, and a pavilion area. We also provide water taxi service from the campground to different attraction areas during the summer. We have reserved a limited number of full hook-up sites (water, electric, and sewer) for Workampers at a rate of $250 per month. This is a tremendous discount and the rate is decreased $50 for each seasonal anniversary that you work with us. After 5 years, your site is free!!!

Our Operating Schedule

We hire Workampers for each season. It is possible to work more than one season, but that is contingent upon our job needs and your performance. Our Spring season typically starts the first weekend in March, our Summer season starts Memorial Day weekend and runs through Labor Day weekend, our Fall season starts in October and runs through the end of December, and our Snow Mountain season starts in November and runs through late February.

Work Schedules

We try to schedule Workamping couples on shifts as close as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be scheduled exactly the same hours. One person may have to come in earlier than the other, and one may leave later than another.

We also cannot guarantee a certain amount of hours per week since many factors including attendance and weather can affect one's schedule. Depending upon the season, Workampers can expect to work 15-35 hours per week, and anywhere from 2 to 5 days per week. Weekends and holidays are required for all positions.

How to Apply

Workampers must apply and interview according to our normal application and interview processes, although we will make exceptions in order to accomodate your travel schedule if selected for an interview. Please visit our Employment Listings and apply for the position you are interested in.
